Achilles, a global supply chain risk management company, announced today the appointment of three new experts to support its international automotive team.

Chuck Zimmer, based in Michigan, joins as Director of Business Development in the USA; Tomas Brotóns, based in Madrid, has started as Business Development Manager for Europe, and Louise Appleby has been appointed Account Manager, based at Achilles’ UK headquarters. The trio brings a combined 40 years’ additional experience to Achilles’ automotive business.

Zimmer brings a wealth of experience in new business development to support Achilles’ expansion in the US. He has previously helped to deliver IT solutions in the automotive sector, with senior roles at Experian Automotive and Datamatics Global Services.

Brotóns brings significant expertise in working across Europe to deliver ‘Cloud-based’ IT solutions, as used by Achilles.

Appleby joins Achilles from Experian UK, where she helped businesses, including numerous automotive companies, to identify business risks and implement solutions.

Achilles is expanding its global automotive team after three of the world’s leading car manufacturers came together to form an automotive community, with tools to proactively identify and manage potential risks in their supply chains. Aston Martin, Jaguar Land Rover and Toyota Motor Europe worked with the owner of Goodwood, Lord March, and Achilles, to develop the community.

Adrian Chamberlain, Chief Executive at Achilles, said: “The Achilles Automotive community is a pioneering industry initiative, and accordingly, we have appointed three high-calibre individuals to support customers, and the global development and expansion of the programme.”
