The Government aims to make the UK’s Public Procurement laws more flexible and focused on national priorities than was possible under the EU regime.
Our whitepaper follows the same structure as the Government’s paper, set out in eight chapters and covers the key proposals including condensing the regulations into a single text with just 3 procurement procedures. Other key areas for reform are the selection and award stages of the procurement process, the provisions for challenging an award decision and enhancing transparency throughout. The underlying principles and objectives of the legislation have also been restated.
