Major recent risks such as the oil crash and COVID-19, have not only caused major disruption across oil and gas, utilities and manufacturing sectors, but also have ramped up the need to nearshore, especially in the manufacturing sector.

About the speakers
Nick Wildgoose BA (Hons) FCA FCIPS is a qualified accountant, supply chain and risk professional and has held a variety of global financial, procurement and commercial positions in several industry sectors. Working for companies such as PWC, Linde Group, The Virgin Group, Zurich Insurance Group and DHL Resilience360.
He has served on the Board of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply which is the biggest procurement professional body in the world with over 100,000 members. He also served as a specialist advisor to the World Economic Forum on the topic of systemic supply chain risk and was Chairman of the Supply Chain Risk Leadership Council and still serves on their Board.
He has spoken and written extensively on supply chain management. Over the last 18 months he has been working with DHL Resiliece360 and a selection of other software companies in supporting their customer solutions. He has also been working as the senior advisor for the Institute of Risk Management in the development of their new Supply Chain Risk Management certificate training launched in 2020.
Joanne Leng MBE, Deputy Chief Executive at NOF and Deputy Chair Energi Coast, has been with NOF for 25 years. She joined the organisation straight from university where she did a degree in Business Studies, specialising in marketing. Working her way up through the organisation from grass roots level she is now Deputy Chief Executive. Key sector expertise is offshore wind and oil & gas. Main areas of responsibility include looking at strategies to take NOF forward, overseeing the delivery of services, engaging with members, partner organisations and the client community and taking a lead in NOF’s international business activities. Joanne has travelled widely to many global destinations and has led over 80 trade delegations around the world.
Atle Gjertsen MBA, Oil & Gas Sector Manager at Achilles with over 17 years of international experience in the Oil and Gas sector in the Nordic Region and globally.
