At Achilles, we actively fight against modern slavery and human trafficking across our global operations and supply chains. Our commitment includes identifying high-risk sectors, performing regular risk assessments, and working closely with our suppliers to ensure compliance with ethical standards. Key actions include supplier due diligence processes, and employee training focused on spotting and preventing abuses. Additionally, we collaborate with organizations like Unseen to amplify our impact. Through rigorous monitoring and a zero-tolerance approach, Achilles remains dedicated to promoting transparency, ethical practices, and the safeguarding of human rights.
Our strategy involves:
– Risk-Based Assessments: We assess risks within our supply chains, focusing on industries and regions most vulnerable to exploitation.
– Supplier Audits & Compliance: We review supplier self-assessments to ensure adherence to our ethical standards and have the ability to conduct site audits should they be required.
– Employee Training: We have implemented specialized training programs to educate our staff on how to identify and combat modern slavery.
– Partnerships: We collaborate with anti-slavery organisations, such as Unseen, to enhance our ability to detect and respond to potential human rights violations.
– Transparency & Accountability: Our open reporting mechanisms allow stakeholders to report concerns, and we have established clear procedures for responding to suspected abuses.
As we look to the future, Achilles remains committed to evolving our strategies to meet the challenges of eradicating modern slavery, striving to create more ethical, sustainable supply chains.

During this last financial year, Achilles continued the project to onboard its global suppliers to the Achilles
supplier management platform, improving our supply chain transparency and procurement decisions. As
part of this process, suppliers to Achilles are asked to comply with the Achilles Supplier Code of Conduct, covering areas such as Modern Slavery, Health & Safety and Anti-Bribery.
Achilles is a strong advocate of the Living Wage and strongly supports fair pay at work. All directly
employed and regular third party contracted staff are paid on or above the Living Wage.
