Achilles and Hall & Wilcox Mining Boardroom Lunch
Achilles and Hall & Wilcox and are delighted to invite you to a boardroom lunch with special guests Brendan Tapley, Managing Director and ESG Expert at Decarbonate, who is one of four people in Australia selected to be part of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Working Group and Dr Jonathan Kolieb, Co-Director, Business and Human Rights Centre at RMIT University. The recently announced Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) sustainability standard for the mining sector sets out metrics for reporting mining impacts and introduces three new topics: tailings management, artisanal and small-scale mining, and operating in conflict zones.
This roundtable discussion will bring together mining business leaders, GRI, legal and sustainability experts to discuss:
- Overview of the new GRI Standards: Key changes, reporting requirements, and alignment with global frameworks
